Chapter Twenty-Six
CAMERON
The car ride has been silent since we left the Old Brick Pub. I donât know if itâs because my words mightâve been too much for her or if itâs because of the anger radiating off her mixed with our mutual horniness.
There was no hiding how turned on she was when I slammed her against my car, but then again, that seems to be our dynamic.
Fight equals sex. Jealousy equals sex. Frustration equals sex.
We were finally on somewhat stable ground today, and I let whatever feelings I had get in the way. Itâs so damn frustrating. One second, I canât stand her, the next, I want to be inside of her, and after that, I feel this weird extreme jealousy when I see another man or woman lust after her. I canât bring myself to say those thoughts aloud. I already partially admitted to them at the pub, and it clearly freaked her out.
What if I scare her off? What if she ends what weâve built, even if it is just sex? Who am I kidding? This shit is way too fucking complicated to be just sex.
I tighten my hands around the steering wheel until my knuckles are white. A sign comes into view that points towards a hiking trail to our right. Driscoll is still twenty minutes away. That little devil that has been quiet lately makes an appearance and any rational thoughts I had left disappear. I take a sharp right turn and hear Kamila gasp.
âWhat the hell are you doing?â She latches onto the handle at the top of the passenger seat.
âParking.â I drive up the trail a bit, put the car in park, and turn the key. The sun has almost completely set and thereâs no one around here at night. Weâll have plenty of privacy.
âWhat are we doing here, Cameron?â Kamila asks, clearly growing impatient. âYou couldnât wait twenty more minutes till we got to campus to fight or whatever it is that you want to do?â
My jaw clenches. âThe last thing I want to do right now is talk.â
Her face changes to one that Iâve gotten very familiar with. Her breathing quickens, and I can tell she needs this just as badly as I do.
Okay, so I didnât royally fuck up.
âGet in the back.â
She scrambles to the backseat, and I let out a grin at her eagerness.
Once Kamila is settled in the back, I jump out of the car and walk around it, too tall to wiggle in like she did.
I open the door and she rolls her eyes. âI couldâve done that.â
My eyes sweep up her body. âAre you not coming in?â she asks impatiently.
âNot just yet.â I wiggle my finger. âCome closer.â She inches forward and stops when sheâs face to face with my crotch, still sitting in the backseat. I lower myself and give her a slow, closed mouth kiss. Her red lipstick is still in perfect condition. Weâll see if I can finally ruin it tonight.
âGet on your back.
